You can awake your modem up by this function. If your modem suspends, you can use this function to wake your connection. You can use Ping Now function by 4 ways:

1. When your BeFaster icon is in the system tray, click your mouse's right button on BeFaster icon. A menu will appear (for example; look at the right) , select Ping Now menu item to wake your modem.
    
2. You may use Ping Now button on the program.
    
3. If you checked "Double-click to Ping Now in tray icon" in preferences, when you double-click BeFaster icon in the system tray, it will call Ping Now function.
4. While program is running, you may click CTRL + 0 keys together.
    

Although you use Ping Now function; If it cannot awake your connection, the reason is your bad connection or previous Ping request is not completed yet. You must have IE 4.0 or higher installed to use Ping Now and Super-ping Tool. If you are using a firewall software, please set your firewall to accept incoming and outgoing connections for BeFaster.

When you Register BeFaster,

• You will be able to set the ping host address, too. BeFaster uses this address to keep your connection alive. Unregistered users cannot change this address.
• BeFaster can use the last typed URL in IE to ping.
• Ping now function can monitor clipboard to ping the copied URL in clipboard.
• You can disable ping now sound.

Note: Super-Ping Tool and Ping Now have different functions: Super-Ping Tool prevents connection drops. Ping Now awakes suspended modems. For example; think that you're surfing on the net and your browser is saying "loading page..." but when you look your modem, you see that there's not any activity on modem lights. At that time, just use Ping Now function to awake your modem and speed up your surfing...
