Options For All Users

Start when Windows starts up : Use this option to run BeFaster when windows starts up. This option is recommended while using super-ping tool. It is enabled after installation by default. You can uncheck this if you don't want BeFaster to start when Windows starts up.

Start minimized : Use this option to start BeFaster minimized next time. If you want to set this option enabled, it is suggested to set "Minimize to tray-icon" option enabled, too.

Minimize to tray icon : Use this option, if you want BeFaster to use tray-icon instead of taskbar when minimized.

Enable BeFaster sound : Use this option to play befaster.wav file when BeFaster starts.

Double-click to Ping Now in tray icon : If this option is checked; when you double-click BeFaster icon in system tray, it calls Ping Now function. Otherwise when you double-click BeFaster icon in system tray, it shows BeFaster.

Super-Ping Tool Options

Try, when connection is available : If this option is selected, program tries to ping (keep connection alive) in determined time intervals when the connection is detected. In some connections, it can't detect. In that cases you need to use "Always try to ping" option, if you want to use super-ping tool.

Always try to ping : This option tries to make your connection alive by getting data from internet in determined time intervals. It doesn't check that you're connected, it always tries to ping.

Don't try to ping : This option disables super-ping tool. Super-ping tool is not windows ping tool. Its name includes "ping" word but it is a tool that prevents connection drops.

Ping Interval : This option sets the ping interval. ( 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds) If you have a slow connection, don't set this value to 5 seconds.

Options For Registered Users (they are visible for registered users)

Display startup screen : Use this option to show BeFaster startup screen.

Enable LiveUpdate reminder : If this option is checked, BeFaster will try to check for updates once a month in background. If it finds an update, it will report only.

Add BeFaster shortcut to folders context menu for fast access : If this option is checked, you will see Run BeFaster command in some context menus of Windows. You may use this to create a different shortcut. By this way, when you right-click Start button, you will see Run BeFaster fast access command.

Ping Now : Monitors clipboard : If this option is checked, Ping Now monitors clipboard. If there is URL in clipboard (if you copy the URL) , BeFaster tries to ping that address.

Enable Ping Now sound : If this option is checked; when you use Ping Now tool, BeFaster says "awaking up now"

Ping Address : Use this to change ping host address. Super-ping tool uses this address. Unregistered users cannot change the default ping address.

Use last typed url instead of this address when it is possible : BeFaster tries to ping last typed URL in IE browser, instead of Ping Address.

Note: Don't forget : BeFaster does not use Windows default ping technique. So it is not a classic ping tool.
