In this article, you will find
the history of BeFaster program.
Year 2000...I was looking and
surfing at software sites. I saw some programs that say they
would optimize connection to have faster connection. So I downloaded
all connection optimization programs to test them. I did this
test to find the best optimization software and optimize my
connection. Some of them made my connection efficient, some
of them made my connection bad. As a result, a few of optimization
programs were nice.
Therefore I decided to write a
program to optimize my connection by the best way possible.
So I began to examine the methods of that kind of programs.
I read too many documents and I did too many tests. And I programmed
a software which had a really bad interface and usage. But it
did what it said. I called it 'FastNet' and it was just designed
for Windows 98. Because I had only Windows 98. At first, I wrote
the program to improve my connection. But later, I decided to
publish it as a shareware program.
While I seek software sites, I
saw a program with same name. So I decided to change the name
and register the new name. So BeFaster v1.0 was born at the
end of May 2000. It is shareware and it had 10 days use limit.
But there was no sales. Nobody has purchased BeFaster. Then
I decided to improve BeFaster and to make it the best accelerator.
BeFaster is written with Visual
Basic 6.0. Although the best way is object oriented programming,
I used procedural programming much. Therefore It was really
difficult to create a better new version. Anyway, I began to
improve BeFaster. So BeFaster v2.0 got ready in July 2000. Full
tested support for all Windows was added in August 2000.
BeFaster v2.1 was a turning point.
Because sales began with that version and gained speed with
BeFaster v2.3 in August. BeFaster made the difference. I began
to receive positive criticisms and I tried to improve BeFaster.
In September 2001, BeFaster began
to be published by ED Company instead of Ekrem Deniz. My workers
and me have a good cooperation. We had good partnerships with
other companies (for example: Mcafee.com) in past. Now, we
have nice partnerships and we hope we
will have in future, too.
Nowadays BeFaster is still popular
program. It is purchased by over 64 countries and this number
increases day by day.
