Is BeFaster adware or spyware ?

BeFaster is shareware and it will remain.

We have included offline advertisement system in BeFaster a few months ago.

BeFaster will not use your connection, bandwidth for advertisement.

BeFaster setup will include advertisements therefore if we need to update an advertisement, we will update our setup package as a new revision.

How many types of advertisement methods are available ?

• As an advertiser :

In this example, 468x60 pixel banner is shown at splash (startup) screen.

Only unregistered users see this screen and if the user clicks the banner, the link provided by advertiser will be opened in new browser window.

• As a sponsor :

Normally BeFaster has 3 main menus : Program, Records, Help.

In this example, you see BeFaster in German language with an additional menu:

That menu is visible if there is a sponsor available. It does not have any sub menu. If the user click the menu, the link provided by sponsor will be opened in new browser window.

In this example, DSLTeam seems as sponsor. If the user click sponsor menu, it will open the link (URL) of sponsor in new browser window.

Is it possible to advertise for only one language ?

• BeFaster has multi-language support. While you install BeFaster, you choose a setup language. This language is also default program language. For example; if you choose English while you install BeFaster, program will open in English and all interfaces will be in English. Of course, you can change interface language later.

Therefore we decided to add a functionality to advertise for each interface. So you can advertise for one language or you can advertise for multiple languages. For example if you are a Turkish company, you may want to advertise your advertisement to Turkish people. In this case, your advertisement will be shown in only Turkish program interface.

• Advertisements will be shown at startup (splash) screen. So only unregistered users will see your advertisement.

Your advertisements will be bundled with our setup program. Because our program will not include any spyware console so we guarantee that all users will see your advertisement. We think that offline advertising is better and safe because in that case our program will not use any bandwidth.

How to advertise as a sponsor ?

• Advertisement will be seen by only unregistered users. Because registered users does not see splash screen. Sponsor-ship is a bit different.
• If you want to be a sponsor, your advertisement will be shown as a program menu additional to advertisement. Therefore when you are a sponsor, you will advertise at splash screen for unregistered users and you will advertise your text as a program menu at program main window for all users. It is not important if end-user is registered or unregistered; in both cases he/she will see your text advertisement in program.
• You can be a sponsor of one interface or you can be a sponsor for multiple languages. But we accept only one sponsor for each language although we accept more advertisers at splash screen.
